GARVIN PARK 2002 - 2003
Coordinated discussions among local neighborhood associations, corporate executives and the Evansville Mayor’s office in an effort to forge a public/private partnership to underwrite the landscaping restoration of the park. Restoration would be dedicated as a memorial to the victims of the 9/11. An historic landmark, Garvin was the first urban public park facility built during the late 1910s and 1920s. Participated in the planting of the Freedom Tree on the first anniversary of 9/11 tragedy, unveiling landscaping plan in a brief public ceremony.
EVANSVILLE PHILHARMONIC CHORUS 1999 - 2003
Trained baritone voice -- performed chorus parts in Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro and Puccini’s La Boheme. Performed numerous other noteworthy classical symphonic pieces including Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis and Mozart’s Mass in C minor. Participated in nine-day tour of Italy in June, 2002. Itinerary included Rome, Bolsena, Montecatini, Florence, Siena and Venice and other rural Tuscan villages.
